The words “welcome”, “listening”, “solidarity”, “sharing”, “respect”, “discretion” and “adaptation ” reflect the philosophy of Le Roseau.

Welcome : Welcome of all, warm welcome, personalized welcome from 9h to 20h on weekdays and from 13h to 19h on weekends and holidays. Arrivals are in the afternoon between 14h and 19h on weekdays and between 14h and 18h WE and holidays

Listen: By listening to the family express its joys, its hopes, its sufferings; by letting it decompress, cry, laugh without being judged, the volunteers of the Roseau allow it to return more serene to the patient. His morale also benefits from the proximity to his family.

Solidarity and sharing: Le Roseau has few resources and can only properly carry out its mission with the goodwill of everyone. Residents are required to share their room with another resident when they are alone, especially in case of high traffic. In turn, they ensure that everyone has the opportunity to do their laundry, watch their favorite show on television, consult the Internet, etc.

Respect and discretion: Each resident of Le Roseau deserves respect for his religion, the language he speaks, his situation. Each resident must have all the necessary discretion regarding the reasons that bring him to Le Roseau. These values are intrinsically part of the function of Le Roseau volunteers and staff.

Adaptation: Don’t we say “The Reed bends but does not break”?. Being attentive implies considering the particularities of each situation, in order to best welcome each resident while not undermining the overall mission of Le Roseau. Le Roseau listens, adapts and seeks solutions.
